Regular Season Round 19: Shinshu BW - Niigata Albirex 81-77

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Niigata Albirex (13-7) against fourth ranked Shinshu BW (11-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Niigata Albirex was defeated by Shinshu BW in a tough game in Nagano 77-81. Niigata Albirex was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Shinshu BW made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Five Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) answered with 19 points and 5 assists and center Patrick Sullivan (206-88, college: SE Louisiana) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Niigata Albirex. Shinshu BW have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 11-5 record. Niigata Albirex at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
