Leader Aishin Sea Horses recorded the twentieth first victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (4-18) 87-72 in Kariya. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) who scored that evening 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and international guard Makoto Hiejima (190-90) supported him with 14 points and 6 assists. Even 23 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Darryl Webb (198-88, college: Indiana, PA, agency: Pro One Sports) did not help to save the game for Hitachi Sunrockers. The former international guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first position with 21-1 record. Hitachi Sunrockers lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with 18 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses' next round opponent will be Chiba Jets (#5) at home. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Mitsubishi Dolphins in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
