Very expected game when 9th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (3-7) was smashed by fifth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (7-3) in Lugo 82-63. The game without a history. Leche Rio Breogan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) fired 21 points for the winners. Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Leche Rio Breogan's coach Lisardo Gomez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Hector Manzano (207-80) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Sergi Pino (197-87) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.
