Regular Season Round 22: Lechugueros - Soles 103-99

Round 22 in LNBP means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Leon where host Lechugueros (8-11) beat league's leader Soles (15-4) 103-99 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Soles. The hosts trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 34-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Lechugueros looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Maurice Riddick (188-79, college: Beth.-Cookman) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) produced 29 points and international forward Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) added 20 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lechugueros moved-up to ninth place. Soles at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Pioneros. Soles will play next round against Toros trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Lechugueros will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Huracanes in Tampico.
