Regular Season Round 11: MOSiR Krosno - Astoria Bydg. 96-72

1Liga top team - MOSiR Krosno (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Astoria Bydg. (3-8) 96-72. The game without a history. MOSiR Krosno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Astoria Bydg.'s 40 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. MOSiR Krosno forced 19 Astoria Bydg. turnovers and outrebounded them 39-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a quality performance for power forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Center Dariusz Wyka (208-91) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. Four MOSiR Krosno players scored in double figures. Forward Sebastian Laydych (203-87) came up with 15 points and Marcin Kowalewski (200-86) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Astoria Bydg. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MOSiR Krosno have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Astoria Bydg. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. MOSiR Krosno will play against Kutno (#4) on the road in the next round. Astoria Bydg. will play against Start Lublin (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
