Regular Season Round 18: Iskra Svit - Nitra 84-66

The most important game in the last round took place in Svit between second ranked Nitra (11-6) and fifth ranked Iskra Svit (9-7) on Saturday night. Nitra was defeated by Iskra Svit on the road 84-66. The game was mostly controlled by Iskra Svit. Nitra managed to win second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Iskra Svit dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Nitra's 34. The best for the losing side was forward Elton Frazier (198-88, college: Canisius) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Patrick Sparks (184-83, college: Kentucky, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) scored 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Iskra Svit maintains fifth position with 9-7 record. Nitra lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with six games lost. Iskra Svit are looking forward to face SKP Banska Bystrica (#7) on the road in the next round. Nitra will play against Handlova (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
