Regular Season Round 9: Pau Orthez - Roche 80-62

LF2 round 9 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Roche (8-1) against fourth ranked Pau Lacq Orthez (6-2) 80-62 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Roche. The game without a history. Pau Lacq Orthez led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for naturalized Senegalese forward Mariame Dia (185-78) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Senegalese forward Awa Gueye (182-78) contributed with 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Pau Lacq Orthez players scored in double figures. Forward Sarra Ouerghi (182-85, agency: LBM Management) answered with 14 points and 6 assists and guard Johana Tayeau (173-89) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Roche. Pau Lacq Orthez moved-up to third place. Roche at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by COB Calais. Roche will play next round against LTB 29 trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Pau Lacq Orthez will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Reims on the road.
