Regular Season Round 9: Mitsubishi K. - Toyota B SR 54-50

Very expected game when 9th ranked Toyota B SR (2-7) lost to fourth ranked Mitsubishi K. (7-2) in Nagoya 50-54. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 18-9 Toyota B SR's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 54-50 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Chika Sakuragi (179-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Mitsubishi K.. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M and Toyota A. Toyota B SR lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Mitsubishi K.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nagoya to the arena Toyota A..
