The game in Loganholme supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Townsville Fire (8-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Logan Thunder (3-9). Townsville Fire smashed Logan Thunder 95-71 on Sunday. The game without a history. Townsville Fire led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Logan Thunder's 48. They outrebounded Logan Thunder 49-32 including 25 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Townsville Fire made 8 blocks. The former international center Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-80) fired a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. New Zealand guard Micaela Cocks (174-86, college: Oregon) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Four Townsville Fire players scored in double figures.
