Regular Season Round 20: Shiga L-Stars - Kyoto Hannar. 84-78

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (11-7) against sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (9-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Kyoto Hannar. was defeated by Shiga L-Stars in a tough game in Shiga 78-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kyoto Hannar.. It looked good early as Kyoto Hannar. took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Shiga L-Stars had a 29-18 second period charge getting the lead and Kyoto Hannar. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-84. Strangely Kyoto Hannar. outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 42-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) who added 20 points during the contest. American center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sendai 89ers. Kyoto Hannar. at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Oita H.Devils. Shiga L-Stars will play against Takamatsu FA (#8) on the road in the next round. Kyoto Hannar. will play against Fukuoka Rizing (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
