Regular Season Round 12: Centrum - Sverresborg 101-75

Date: December 8, 2013
Centrum has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Sverresborg (0-11) 101-75 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 26 points. 28 personal fouls committed by Sverresborg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Thomas Ble (185-89) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and guard Ahmed Haddad (189-93) who added 18 points during the contest. Ble is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Polish guard Adam Kilian (183-85) with 33 points (!!!), 5 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and center Petter Wanvik (194-89) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Centrum maintains seventh position with 1-8 record. It was Sverresborg's eleventh loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Centrum are looking forward to face higher ranked Asker Aliens (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sverresborg will play against Tromso and hopes to get finally their first victory.
