Regular Season Round 11: Foshan LL - Shanghai S. 94-83

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Shanghai Sharks (8-3) against fourteenth ranked Foshan (5-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Shanghai Sharks were defeated by Foshan in Foshan 94-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shanghai Sharks. Shanghai Sharks were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for guard Zhi Luo (190-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Forward Junwei Ren (203-90) helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. Five Foshan players scored in double figures. American Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) scored 21 points. Shanghai Sharks' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Foshan moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Jiangsu D. and TianJin S. Shanghai Sharks at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Xinjiang FT. Foshan will play against higher ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (#3) in Urumqi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shanghai Sharks will play at home against Liaoning Hunters and hope to get back on the winning track.
