Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Umana Venezia (4-5) defeated on the road 15th ranked Vanoli Cremona (2-7) 77-64 on Sunday. Vanoli Cremona was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Croatian forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85) stepped up and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and international point guard Luca Vitali (201-86) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized American guard Jarrius Jackson (183-85, college: Texas Tech) with 17 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard Jason Rich (191-86) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Umana Venezia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Vanoli Cremona lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with seven games lost.
