Regular Season Round 11: Agrigento - Roseto 92-62

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Agrigento (7-4) smashed at home 9th ranked Roseto (5-6) 92-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Agrigento. Roseto was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Agrigento forced 20 Roseto turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). point guard Alessandro Piazza (174-87) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. American guard Kevin Sowell (190-81, agency: Interperformances) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Agrigento have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Roseto dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Agrigento will face Lucca (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roseto will play against Treviglio and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
