The game in Tokyo was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Chanson V-M (7-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Niigata (2-7). Chanson V-M defeated Niigata 77-67. The game was mostly controlled by Chanson V-M. Niigata was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Niigata 44-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chanson V-M brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Miyuki Kawamura (183-94) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line).
