Regular Season Round 20: Toyama Grouses - Akita NH 83-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Akita Happinets (17-3) on the court of second ranked Toyama Grouses on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Toyama Grouses 83-77. American forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Richard Roby (198-85) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Akita Happinets. Toyama Grouses maintains second position with 14-4 record having five points less than leader Okinawa GK. Akita Happinets at the other side still keep top place with three games lost. Toyama Grouses are looking forward to face Tokyo Cinq R. (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akita Happinets will play against Yokohama BC (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
