No shocking result in a game in Tel-Aviv where sixth ranked Maccabi T-A (6-4) smashed 11th ranked Maccabi Rishon (3-7) 79-58. The game without a history. Maccabi T-A led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Maccabi Rishon's 36. It was a great shooting night for Maccabi T-A especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. The former international David Blu (204-80, college: USC) notched 11 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and international point guard Yogev Ohayon (189-87) supported him with 7 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Even 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American Vander Blue (200-92, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for Maccabi Rishon. His fellow American import forward Tasmin Mitchell (201-86, college: LSU) added 15 points for lost side. Four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. Maccabi T-A moved-up to third place, which they share with Maccabi Haifa. Maccabi Rishon at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Maccabi T-A's next round opponent will be Hapoel Holon (#5) on the road. Maccabi Rishon will play against Hapoel Holon (#5) and hope to win that game.
