Very expected game when 12th ranked Elitzur Ramla (3-6) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (5-4) 99-81 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Ironi Ramat Gan. Elitzur Ramla was better in fourth quarter 29-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ironi Ramat Gan looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Elitzur Ramla was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Oded Shaashoua (186-82, agency: Avi Zilberman) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. Ironi Ramat Gan's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Roburt Sallie (196-86, college: Memphis, agency: Blacktop Management) with 28 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds and 6 blocks. Five Ironi Ramat Gan and four Elitzur Ramla players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Ironi Ramat Gan. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hapoel K/S. Elitzur Ramla lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan will face league's second-placed Ironi Nahariya on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Elitzur Ramla will play against Ironi Kiryat Ata (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
