Regular Season Round 9: Hapoel Kazrin - Maccabi Hasharon 81-76

National League top team - Hapoel Kazrin (8-1) added another victory to their record on Tuesday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Hod Hasharon (1-8) 81-76. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hod Hasharon won fourth quarter 29-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Erik Etherly (201, college: Loyola, MD) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and forward David Loubeau (203-89, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Anthony Fisher (191-86) with 18 points and 5 assists and power forward Louis Johnson (206-86, college: W.Illinois) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Hod Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Kazrin have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Hod Hasharon at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Hapoel Kazrin are looking forward to face Kiryat Tivon (#4) in Kiryat Tivon in the next round. Hod Hasharon will play at home against Ironi Ashkelon (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
