Regular Season Round 12: Shandong FB - Beijing Ducks 98-86

The most important game in the last round took place in Jinan between second ranked Beijing Ducks (9-3) and fifth ranked Shandong Bulls (8-4) on Wednesday night. Beijing Ducks were defeated by Shandong Bulls on the road 98-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beijing Ducks. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Beijing Ducks managed to win fourth quarter 30-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shandong Bulls made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Shandong Bulls outrebounded Beijing Ducks 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Ukrainian point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists and American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) with 24 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and international forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong Bulls maintains fifth position with 8-4 record. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Shanghai S. and Xinjiang FT. Shandong Bulls are looking forward to face Fujian (#9) in Jinjiang in the next round. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
