Not a big story in a game in Nanjing where 11th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (5-7) were defeated by seventh ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (7-5) 102-94 on Wednesday. Jiangsu Dragons were trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 31-22 charge of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Three Eye Sports) who added 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' coach Fei Wang used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard XueFeng Hu (185-80) with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Jiangsu Dragons dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face Bayi Rockets (#14) in Ningbo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu Dragons will play on the road against DongGuan Leopards and hope to win that game.
