No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Abejas (15-7) beat 12th ranked Angeles (5-10) in Guanajuato 108-100. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-18 Angeles' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 108-100 at the end of the game. Abejas dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Angeles' 42. They outrebounded Angeles 40-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Steffphon Pettigrew (195-89, college: W.Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds and forward Keith Gayden (202-83, college: Duquesne) who added 29 points and 7 rebounds during the contest.
