Regular Season Round 10: Asseco - PGE Turow 68-52

Very important is a road loss of second ranked PGE Turow (6-3) against ninth ranked Asseco (4-6) on Friday night. Visiting PGE Turow was defeated by Asseco in Gdynia 68-52. PGE Turow was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Piotr Szczotka (196-81, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Asseco's coach David Dedek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American forward J.P. Prince (198-87, college: Tennessee) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for PGE Turow. Asseco moved-up to eighth place, which they share with AZS Koszalin. PGE Turow at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Asseco will play against league's second-placed Trefl Sopot on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. PGE Turow will have a break next round.
