No shocking result in a game in Yingkou where second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (10-3) defeated 10th ranked Liaoning Hunters (6-7) 86-71 on Friday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 29-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige dominated on the defensive end, holding Liaoning Hunters to just 7 points in first quarter. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) stepped up and scored 29 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) chipped in 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Xinjiang Flying Tige players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center XiaoXu Li (206-90) scored 5 points and 14 rebounds. Liaoning Hunters' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-3 record behind leader Guangdong ST, which they share with Beijing Ducks and Shanghai S. Liaoning Hunters lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Foshan LL. Xinjiang Flying Tige will meet Jilin Tigers (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Liaoning Hunters will play against Shanxi Zhongyu (#18) and hope to secure a win.
