Regular Season Round 13: Shanghai S. - Jilin NE T. 98-76

Date: December 13, 2013
The game with biggest result difference took place in Shanghai. Local Shanghai Sharks (10-3) outscored 15th ranked Jilin Tigers (3-10) 98-76 on Friday night. The game without a history. Shanghai Sharks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers' 46. They outrebounded Jilin Tigers 56-33 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) chipped in 27 points and 7 assists. At the losing side power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and forward Leon Rodgers (201-80, college: N.Illinois) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks moved-up to second place, which they share with Beijing Ducks and Xinjiang FT. Jilin Tigers lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Sichuan BW. Shanghai Sharks will meet Shandong Bulls (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Jilin Tigers will play against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige (#2) and hope to secure a win.
