Regular Season Round 13: DongGuan L. - Jiangsu D. 117-103

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (5-8) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked DongGuan Leopards (8-5) 117-103 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by DongGuan Leopards. Jiangsu Dragons managed to win fourth quarter 37-31. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DongGuan Leopards made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. DongGuan Leopards had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Donte Greene (206-88, college: Syracuse) chipped in 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) responded with 26 points and 4 assists and international Li Yi (203-85) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Five DongGuan Leopards and four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DongGuan Leopards have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. DongGuan Leopards will meet Bayi Rockets (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu Dragons will play against the league's leader Guandong Tigers in Dongguan and hope to secure a win.
