Very expected game when 9th ranked Eco Orebro (2-14) was smashed on the road by third ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (11-4) 97-73 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Norrkoping Dolphins. Eco Orebro managed to win fourth quarter 22-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Norrkoping Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Eco Orebro's players. It was an exceptional evening for American forward William Walker (200-87, college: Bethel, IN, agency: Warren Sports International) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Niklas Rydgren (193-88) accounted for 23 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Walker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Norrkoping Dolphins players scored in double figures. Australian point guard Rhys Carter (190-84) came up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Brandon Hassell (209-86, college: Penn St.) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Eco Orebro in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Norrkoping Dolphins maintains third place with 11-4 record having four points less than leader Boras. Loser Eco Orebro dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will meet KFUM Jamtland (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Eco Orebro will play against Nassjo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
