Regular Season Round 22: Tochigi Brex - Kumamoto V. 87-77

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (13-11) won against at home 6th ranked Kumamoto V. (4-20) 87-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 50-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) had a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 26 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 8 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Lamont Jones (183, college: Iona) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex maintains fourth position with 13-11 record. Kumamoto V. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 20 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face higher ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (#3) in Nagoya in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kumamoto V. will play at home against Hitachi Sunrockers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
