Regular Season Round 10: Toyota B SR - Fujitsu RW 50-68

Rather predictable result in Aichi where sixth ranked Fujitsu RW (7-3) defeated 10th ranked Toyota B SR (2-8) 68-50. It looked good early as Toyota B SR took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fujitsu RW took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 18 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Toyota B SR to just 6 points in second quarter. Fujitsu RW brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 8 rebounds. International power forward Mai Ishikawa (179-85) contributed with 6 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and center Eri Hatanaka (178-91) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toyota B SR. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fujitsu RW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mitsubishi K. Toyota B SR lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Fujitsu RW's next round opponent will be Hitachi Cougars (#9) in Hitachinaka. Toyota B SR will play at home against the league's second-placed Denso Iris and hope to win that game.
