Regular Season Round 22: 08 - Malbas 90-78

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Malbas (11-1) on the court of fourth ranked 08 Stockholm on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by 08 Stockholm 90-78. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Malbas. The game was mostly controlled by 08 Stockholm. Malbas managed to win fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 08 Stockholm looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Malbas' players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Erik Andersson (197-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Urban Soderman (206-76, college: Eckerd) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. 08 Stockholm's coach Anto Dogic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) replied with 27 points and 4 assists and forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Malbas. 08 Stockholm (8-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Hoganas. Malbas at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
