Regular Season Round 10: Kings - Hawks 63-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Sydney between third ranked Kings (5-6) and eighth ranked Wollongong Hawks (4-7) on Saturday night. Kings were defeated by Wollongong Hawks in a tough game at home 63-69. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 36-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American swingman Kevin Tiggs (193-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) chipped in 16 points. American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) produced 28 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Andrew James Ogilvy (211-88, college: Vanderbilt) added 5 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Wollongong Hawks moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Crocodiles. Kings at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Wollongong Hawks is looking forward to face higher ranked Melbourne Tigers (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kings will play against New Zealand Breakers and are hoping to win this game.
