A very close game took place in Tbilisi between MIA and Batumi. Sixth ranked MIA (4-4) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Batumi (5-3). MIA managed to escape with a 3-point win 75-72 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Batumi. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 3 points. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) stepped up and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and international Merab Bokolishvili (198-92) chipped in 22 points. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jamee Jackson (201-91, college: Quinnipiac) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and Canadian guard Junior Cadougan (187-90, college: Marquette) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 4-4 record. Loser Batumi keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Sokhumi.
