Regular Season Round 10: Toyota A. - Mitsubishi K. 63-43

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nagoya: Toyota A. (#5) and Mitsubishi K. (#4). Toyota A. (8-2) smashed visiting Mitsubishi K. (7-3) by 20 points 63-43. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mitsubishi K.. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Mitsubishi K. managed to win fourth quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Mitsubishi K. to just 5 points in second quarter and to 13 points in first half. International guard Emi Kudeken (165-84) scored 13 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and center Mori Binge (180-88) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Toyota A.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side international center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Toyota A. moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M. Mitsubishi K. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Fujitsu RW. Toyota A. is looking forward to face Aishin Wings (#7) in Anjo in the next round. Mitsubishi K. will play at home against the league's leader JX Sunflowers and is hoping to win this game.
