Regular Season Round 21: Takamatsu FA - Shiga L-Stars 78-69

Takamatsu FA's home win over 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars 78-69 was very exciting. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Shiga L-Stars won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Takamatsu FA forced 21 Shiga L-Stars turnovers and outrebounded them 49-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Shiga L-Stars were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Andrais Thornton (203-85, college: NW Missouri St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Sean Smith (200-85, college: N.Illinois) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) with 23 points and Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Takamatsu FA maintains eighth place with 7-10 record. Loser Shiga L-Stars keep the fifth position with ten games lost. Takamatsu FA will face again higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
