The game in Jinan was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Shanghai Sharks (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Shandong Bulls (8-6). Shanghai Sharks did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 117-99. The game was mostly controlled by Shanghai Sharks. Shandong Bulls was better in second period 35-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shanghai Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Shandong Bulls' 60. It was a great shooting night for Shanghai Sharks especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American guard Quincy Douby (190-84, college: Rutgers) scored 32 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Wei Liu (190-80) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Shanghai Sharks' coach Rob Beveridge allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Yanyuhang Ding (200-93) scored 27 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shanghai Sharks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Xinjiang FT. Shandong Bulls at the other side keep the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Zhejiang CB and Fujian QB. Shanghai Sharks will play against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#8) in Hangzhou in the next round where they are favorite. Shandong Bulls will play on the road against the league's second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and hope to get back on the winning track.
