Regular Season Round 23: Umea - Uppsala KFUM 85-65

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Umea (7-2) crushed at home 6th ranked KFUM Uppsala (5-5) 85-65. It looked good early as KFUM Uppsala took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Umea took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 20 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KFUM Uppsala to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Umea dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KFUM Uppsala's 22. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for forward Richard Blomberg (201-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Daniel Persson (198-91) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Kevin Grant (191-94) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Anes Zekovic (-95) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. KFUM Uppsala's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Umea moved-up to second place. KFUM Uppsala at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Umea will play against KFUM Blackebergs (#8) in Vallingby in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. KFUM Uppsala will play on the road against Orongo Dragons in Sundsvall and hopes to get back on the winning track.
