Muggia (6-3) outlasted Triestina (5-3) in overtime by five points 66-61 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the second position in North-East. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 14-8 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. Guard Annalisa Borroni (183-83) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Lara Cumbat (177-88) chipped in 7 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Stefania Trimboli (178-96) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Maria Miccoli (182-95) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Muggia moved-up to second place in North-East. Newly promoted Triestina dropped to the third position with three games lost. Muggia will face Vicenza (#4) on the road in the next round. Triestina will play against Alghero and hope to win that game.
