Regular Season Round 12: PMS Torino - Novipiu Casale 58-57

Thirteenth-ranked Novipiu Casale (4-8) gave a tough game to fifth ranked PMS Torino (8-4). PMS Torino managed to secure only one-point victory 58-57. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Novipiu Casale. Novipiu Casale was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 17-15 charge of PMS Torino, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Novipiu Casale to just 6 points in second quarter. It was a good game for the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. International forward Stefano Mancinelli (204-83) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American point guard Kevin Dillard (183-89, college: Dayton) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Davide Bruttini (203-87) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Novipiu Casale. PMS Torino moved-up to second place, which they share with C.de Latte BRE. Novipiu Casale at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. PMS Torino's next round opponent will be Sigma Barcellona (#5) on the road. Novipiu Casale will play against the league's leader Trento (#1) and hope to win that game.
