No shocking result in a game when second ranked Panathinaikos (9-1) beat 11th ranked Kolossos (3-7) in Rodou 73-58 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Kolossos was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American James Gist (206-86) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Croatian point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84, agency: XL Basketball Agency) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Defending champion maintains second position with 9-1 record behind leader Olympiacos. Loser Kolossos keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. Panathinaikos will face PAOK (#4) in Thessaloniki in the next round. Kolossos will play on the road against Ilysiakos (#14) in Athens and hope to win that game.
