Regular Season Round 15: TianJin S. - Beijing Ducks 107-104

A very close game took place in Tianjin between TianJin Steel and Beijing Ducks. Eighth ranked TianJin Steel (8-7) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Beijing Ducks (11-4). TianJin Steel managed to escape with a 3-point win 107-104 on Wednesday evening. Beijing Ducks were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and international Yue Sun (206-85) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for TianJin Steel. They maintain eighth place with 8-7 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Beijing Ducks at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Shanghai S.. TianJin Steel will meet higher ranked Shanghai Sharks (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
