Regular Season Round 20: Fos Ouest - Boulazac 82-75

Date: December 20, 2013
Everything went according to plan in Fos-sur-Mer where sixth ranked Fos Ouest (12-8) beat 10th ranked Boulazac Basket (9-11) 82-75 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-75. Worth to mention a great performance of Moroccan-Canadian Mohamed Hachad (194-83, college: Northwestern) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Chris Davis (195-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Court Side) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American swingman Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) responded with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Tyler Smith (201-86, college: Tennessee) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Fos Ouest moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Maurienne. Loser Boulazac Basket dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Fos Ouest will face higher ranked JL Bourg (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Boulazac Basket will play against Saint Vallier (#16) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
