Rather predictable result in S'Arenal where second ranked Fuenlabrada (9-2) defeated 4th ranked Palma (6-5) 101-89 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Fuenlabrada made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 58.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jorge Sanz (188-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Raul Mena (178-82, agency: Court Side) who added 19 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Antoni Vicens (203-90) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) scored 17 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Palma's coach Matias Cerda rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fuenlabrada have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Guadalajara. Palma at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Fuenlabrada will face Prat (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Palma will play against Caceres Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
