Regular Season Round 12: Aishin AW - Mitsubishi K. 55-81

The game in Anjo supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Mitsubishi K. (9-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Aishin Wings (4-8). Mitsubishi K. smashed Aishin Wings 81-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Mitsubishi K.. Aishin Wings was better in fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mitsubishi K. forced 19 Aishin Wings turnovers. It was a good game for guard Yuki Ikeya (174-93) who led her team to a victory with 23 points. International center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Mitsubishi K. players scored in double figures. Power forward Kiyoko Hamaguti (181-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and guard Hitomi Takasaki (168-86) added 8 points and 4 assists in the effort for Aishin Wings. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitsubishi K. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fujitsu RW and Toyota A. Aishin Wings lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Mitsubishi K. will face league's second-placed Chanson V-M in Shizuoka in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
