No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Takamatsu FA (9-10) beat on the road 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (2-19) 93-83 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-83. American players dominated the game. Power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Mark Dawson (206-83, college: Long Beach St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Michael Joiner (200-81, college: Florida St.) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Takamatsu FA. They moved-up to sixth place. Saitama Broncos lost their sixteenth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round. Saitama Broncos will play again at home against Takamatsu FA (#6) and hope to win that game.
