The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Polpharma's (1-10) home loss to eleventh ranked Kotwica (3-8) in Starogard 76-94. The game without a history. Kotwica led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. It was a great evening for American guard Jessie Sapp (186-86, college: Georgetown) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import point guard Jordan Callahan (184-90, college: Tulane) helped adding 24 points and 4 assists. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Kotwica's coach Tomasz Mrozek allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Lithuanian point guard Ovidijus Varanauskas (187-91) responded with 14 points and American Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Kotwica moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Stabill Jezioro. Polpharma lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Kotwica will play against league's leader Stelmet ZG in Zielona Gora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Polpharma will play at home against Energa Czarni (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.
