The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Handlova's (8-11) road loss to fifth ranked Iskra Svit (11-7) 70-81. The game was mostly controlled by Iskra Svit. Handlova was better in second period 27-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Iskra Svit won last quarter 21-12. American forward Lakeem Jackson (196-89, college: S.Carolina) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. The other American import center Tyronne McNeal (211-87, college: Miami Dade CC) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. McNeal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Serbian swingman Nemanja Gudzic (195-90) replied with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Jozef Vojtek (204-85) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Handlova. Iskra Svit have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 11-7 record. Handlova lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 11 games lost. Iskra Svit will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Handlova will play at home against Nova Ves (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
