Regular Season Round 15: Sorgues - Pontoise 88-71

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Sorgues BC (9-6) defeated at home 16th ranked Pontoise (4-11) 88-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sorgues BC. Pontoise was better in fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for center Xavier Pasut (200-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. American-British power forward Tafari Toney (203-86) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was naturalized Cameroonian guard Ralph Temgoua (196, college: St.Lawrence) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Mourad El-Khir (202-88) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pontoise's coach Ludovic Pouillart rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sorgues BC maintains seventh place with 9-6 record. Newly promoted Pontoise dropped to the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. Sorgues BC will face higher ranked Saint Chamond (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pontoise will play against Montbrison (#14) and hope to win that game.
