A very interesting game took place in Blois. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Quimper UJAP (7-8) to fifteenth ranked ADA Blois (5-10) 82-81 on Saturday evening. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. ADA Blois outrebounded Quimper UJAP 35-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Lithuanian power forward Arminas Urbutis (205-86, college: Hofstra) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Gary Staelens (189-84) answered with 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and naturalized Mali forward Tahirou Sani (203-85) added 18 points in the effort for Quimper UJAP. ADA Blois moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Saint-Brieuc and Montbrison. Quimper UJAP at the other side keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. ADA Blois' next round opponent will be higher ranked La Rochelle (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
