Seventh-ranked CD Sagrados (3-9) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (9-3) in Vina del Mar on Sunday. The visitors from San Fernando managed to secure only three-point victory 96-93. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 14 points after three quarters before their 31-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tinguiririca S.F. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to CD Sagrados' 46. It was a good game for American forward Darrien Mack (200, college: Eckerd, agency: GameTime Management) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Tinguiririca S.F.'s coach Pablo Ares used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Belizean-American forward Alex Carcamo (200-77, college: E.Washington) replied with 29 points and 9 rebounds and guard Hector Gomez (188-88) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for CD Sagrados. Five Tinguiririca S.F. and four CD Sagrados players scored in double figures. Tinguiririca S.F. maintains first position with 9-3 record, which they share with Boston Coll. CD Sagrados lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. Tinguiririca S.F. is looking forward to face Osorno Basq. (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. CD Sagrados will play against CD Puerto Varas (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
