Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Saint Vallier (7-14) was rolled over at home by eleventh ranked Boulazac Basket (10-11) 108-83 on Sunday. The game without a history. Boulazac Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Boulazac Basket outrebounded Saint Vallier 39-20 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 72.7 percentage. Boulazac Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Aurelien Salmon (203-87) stepped up and scored 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and American swingman Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) chipped in 19 points. The best for the losing side was American power forward Julian Gamble (207-89, college: Miami, FL) with 26 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jesse Delhomme (189-85) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Five Boulazac Basket and four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Boulazac Basket moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hyeres-Toulon. Saint Vallier lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. Boulazac Basket will face higher ranked JL Bourg (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saint Vallier will play against Aix-Maurienne (#5) in Aix-les-Bains and hope to win that game.
